Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
We are on the DePaul Hospital campus, inside the I-270 and I-70 interchange on the west side of the airport. Parking is free and it sits at the door, which matters on the days when getting out of the car is the part you have been dreading.
Those are free-flow drive times measured on the road network rather than rush-hour figures. Add to them if you are crossing at five o’clock.
What to say when you call
You do not need to have this organized. If you want to make the first appointment more useful, these are the things worth having ready:
- How long it has been, in months or years rather than in appointments.
- Where the pain goes, and where it stops — above or below the knee is a genuinely important distinction.
- Whether anything is numb or weak, and whether that is getting worse.
- What imaging you have had and roughly when.
- What you have stopped doing. The list.

Common questions
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly.
What insurance do you take?
Most commercial plans and Medicare. There are exclusions, and the front desk will tell you exactly where you stand before you commit to anything rather than after.
Can I send my imaging ahead?
Yes, and it helps. Call and we will tell you the best route for the format you have — a disc, a portal login or a CD from another system.
Is this the same practice as the Padda Institute?
One physician, one standard of care. This domain exists because a lumbar spine cannot be worked up properly as a subsection of a general pain appointment.
How quickly can I be seen?
Call or text and we will tell you honestly. If your symptoms include a progressing neurological deficit, say so when you call — that changes the urgency and we will treat it accordingly.

However long it has been, it is a starting point rather than a verdict
Pain that outlives the timeline the textbooks give it is reporting that the acute model never fit your case. That redirects what gets examined; it does not close the file.
